Business

Do you want to learn skills to successfully lead and manage an organization? Do you want to start your own business?

Individuals with a solid business education have the skills needed to excel and succeed in a wide variety of roles and positions in the industry of their choice.

Learn leadership, management, financial, communication, collaboration, and marketing skills through studies in business administration. Or get hands-on training to start your own venture through courses in business entrepreneurship.

The demand for business majors will always be high due to the endless number of career opportunities for individuals with a good business education.

Focus on business administration, accounting, entrepreneurship, hospitality management or real estate. Or, take business courses in tandem with other offerings like computer programming, graphic design, architecture, music, film production, or other career education courses.

Careers in Accounting, Marketing, Management, and Real Estate

A business degree can lead to many career paths. Work for a global company or run your own business.

  • Use business administration to start a career in human resources or hospitality management, retail marketing, or become a finance and operations manager or business data analyst.
  • With an accounting certificate, you can work in payroll, billing, bookkeeping, or tax preparation.
  • With entrepreneurship, start and manage your “dream” business in global e-commerce.
  • With a focus on real estate, become an agent, broker, escrow officer, appraiser, or property manager.

Transfer Opportunities and Pathways

A Business Administration major can be found at many bachelor’s granting institutions. Some universities and colleges may even have similar, but more specified majors to explore, that could align better with your interests. Examples include Accounting, Finance, Management, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Human Resources, International Business, Management Information Systems, Music/Sports Management, and many more.
