Work Experience Education

What is Work Experience?

Work Experience is a working partnership between students, the college, and the employer which enables students to earn college credit for learning on the job via a tightly structured process. Career-related on-the-job work experience strengthens the educational process through a practical application of written learning objectives, evaluations, and professional development activities.

Work experience offers courses in which the worksites serve as off-campus classrooms, extending classroom-based learning to a work site in a field related/unrelated to the student's occupational goal. Students can earn one to three CSU transferable credits depending on how many hours there are working.
